(Consolidated Monetary Servics)
Location: Bloemfontein
Designation: Property Portfolio Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: To acquire new properties for letting. To let vacant properties that were part of our portfolio. To negotiate with new and potential tenants. To liase with current tenants on all property related matters.

Auction Alliance:
(1st May 2004 – 30th June 2007)
(Auction Alliance Free State underwent a Management Buyout and as such we changed names to Bidz Auctioneers and Valuers, effective 01st August 2006)
Location:Bloemfontein
Designation: Business Development Manage | Marketing Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: I was called upon to complete numerous valuations whether for Capital Gains Tax purposes or insolvent estates where I was asked to opinionate on the market value or auction value of assets.
I liaised with clients varying from Banks Corporate Recovery Departments to Attorneys to Auditors to Private Individuals to Corporates looking to sell off any assets via the auction route. I was called upon to present to the above mentioned the advantages of auctions as opposed to your more common sales methods. I was fully involved in the preparation of auctions and more importantly in consulting with the seller and prospective buyer on a given auction. I was also required to negotiate the deal after an auction and to confirm the deal.
I was later appointed to handle all the marketing aspects of the branch where I was employed. This entailed ensuring that all advertisements were correct prior to going to press, that all advertisements were placed, writing editorials on past and upcoming auctions that appeared in the newspapers. I was required to liaise with all the clients so as to keep them up-to-date as to developments within our company and to circulate the latest marketing material to all clients. I also have to arrange functions where our company networked with our clients so as to ensure that we were always top-of-mind awareness. I believe that I truly grew the company in so far as brand awareness, success, turnover and finally financial profits were concerned, for as long as I was a part of the company.
Achievements: I learnt at an expedited rate how the auctioneering world works and have been present on numerous auctions that have also varied in size, locality and type of asset being sold. I was part of the reality television production by the name of
“The Block”, where Auction Alliance was the chosen auctioneer and where we received enormous publicity. I am certainly well travelled and must confess that I have seen strange “assets” being auctioned and had generated large amounts of commission both for myself and for the company that I represented.
I was also the “brain-child” and driving force behind a charity evening which we presented in Bloemfontein, where the guest speaker was Mr. Raymond Ackerman of Pick ‘n Pay. The idea and evening presented itself as a way to attract all the higher echelon and the corporate world of the Free State, to a glamorous Black Tie Function, for the purpose of branding our company but ultimately the beneficiaries were numerous charities within the Free State Northern Cape region. The evening was presented in Conjunction with The University of the Free State RAG Committee and Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket. We raised in excess of R 640 000. 00 (South African Rand) at this function of which all proceeds were donated to charity. The evening was a resounding success and we secured major sponsorship for the next event from major banks.
Reason for Leaving: The business was in the process of being closed.

These investment products entailed those as offered by the major investment and banking houses present in south Africa as well as a few based offshore. I was also responsible for the banking system as has been mentioned above and on the same level of operation.
Achievements: I was accredited in my own personal capacity by the Financial services Board. I worked closely with my ex-trustee who had enormous banking experience and who had gained this experience from both local South African banks as well as experience which he had gained while working abroad in London and New York. I have learnt a great deal about banking, the systems and have also worked with a few International financing houses.

Proudly South African (PSA) – Secvest was registered as PSA and had sponsored numerous projects varying from Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) to being the main sponsor of modeling shows.
